Stone and timber work hard here too. Stone's thermal mass steadies the temperature through warm days and cool nights. Timber insulates naturally and brings warmth inside. Living spaces open to the north-east breeze for natural cooling and face the winter sun, so the home stays comfortable with less reliance on air conditioning.
