FANDR Australian Homesteads is a custom home builder based in Gerringong, serving the NSW South Coast and Southern Highlands, designing and building homes inspired by the enduring forms of barns, chapels and traditional rural buildings.
Our approach is simple. Build with beautiful Australian materials, keep the architecture strong and uncomplicated, and put craftsmanship back at the centre of the home.
We work with natural stone, Australian hardwoods, steel, lime based finishes and other materials chosen for the way they look, perform and age. Rather than adding complexity for the sake of design, we believe character should come from proportion, material, texture and the hands of skilled tradespeople.
Our homestead-style homes draw from old world building traditions while being designed for the Australian landscape and the way we live today. Simple gabled forms, deep verandahs, exposed timber structure, substantial masonry and carefully considered openings create homes that feel warm, grounded and established.
Every FANDR Homestead begins with an idea, then we work backwards through buildability, budget, structure and material selection to turn that idea into something real.
